This page lists all the cookies used by My Swiss Career and explains how you can manage them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) by a website. It allows the site to recognise you on subsequent visits, remember your choices and, in some cases, analyse your browsing.
2. Cookie categories used
2.1 Essential cookies (always active)
Indispensable to the operation of the Service. Without them, you cannot log in or use the main features. They do not require your consent (art. 45c TCA).

2.2 Preference cookies (optional)

2.3 Audience measurement (internal)
Site usage is measured server-side (page view, language, referrer), without third-party cookies and without Google Analytics. No advertising identifier is attached to this measurement.
2.4 Google AdSense advertising
On the Free plan (and for signed-out visitors), Google AdSense ads may be shown. Plus and Pro accounts, when active, do not see ads. Until you record a choice in the banner, these cookies and ad slots are treated as accepted. A refusal (banner «Reject» link, or «Manage cookies») turns them off. For the EEA / UK / Switzerland, Google's Privacy & Messaging CMP may also appear.
An AdSense script is present in the site code for domain verification (publisher ca-pub-5816264058597284). After a recorded refusal, ad slots are no longer loaded. The /ads.txt file identifies Google as an authorised seller.

Google may set further technical cookies described in its ads cookie policy and privacy policy. Data is processed by Google, including outside Switzerland / the EU.

You can also configure your browser to block or delete all cookies. Note: some features (notably login) will no longer work.
4. Legal basis
- Essential cookies: legitimate interest (art. 45c TCA, art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Optional cookies: used until a refusal is recorded via the banner (revocable at any time).

This policy may be updated. Any substantial change triggers a new consent request via the banner.
